What happens to a community when industrial wind turbines come to town. The documentary film Windfall tells the story of what happened in the town of Meredith, New York.

Following the Film there will be a presentation by the Hulthens Family from DeKalb, Illinois, about life in the shadow of industrial wind turbines. You can read about their story here online at

Windfall will also be shown on July 29 and 31 at 6:00 p.m. at the Traverse City Film Festival. The July 29 showing is sold out, but there are still tickets for the July 31 showing as of July 22. For tickets go to and search for “Windfall”.
